Greetings, all,

Help! I am trying to add a firewire HD to my PowerTower Pro 225 upgraded
with a Sonnet G4/450 card and 1GB RAM. Does anyone have experience getting
a PCI firewire card to work on a PowerTower Pro 225? I have tried to use
both OS 8.6 and OS 9.1 with just about every version of Apple's firewire
drivers. I can use my LaCie firewire CD burner, but the HD won't mount. The
HD vendor sent me a new drive. No luck. I am using the additonal firewire
extensions (under OS 8.6) the HD vendor said to use. No luck. What
combinations of HD and firewire card and OS have worked for people on a
PowerTower Pro 225?

I have been unsuccessful with a firewire cards from PowerLogix (a company I
hope to never deal with again) and FirewireDirect (a company that I will do
business with again, despite the fact that their card "has a ROM confilct
with PowerTower Pro 225s" [their words when the accepted the card from
return]).

Any help is appreciated,
