I've got Belkins combo USB/Firewire PCI card in two of my machines.
It uses apple's usb/firewire software. The way I got it to install was to do a clean install of system 9.1 with the card in the slot. Seemed to work. I'm getting freezes with this setup in my 7600/132. It's also been upgraded with a 266 G3, 2nd video card, and a 10/100 ethernet card in addition to the usb/firewire. I haven't been able to tell what's causing the freezes.
