Take note Apple's warning concerning the 8.6 upgrade: "This software may not work on all configurations of Macintosh computers." It's the only machine they made based on the Alchemy (Mac 6400) board. It's the only one that calls for EDO RAM. That's not to say that Mac 6400s can't handle 8.6.
