years ago I was faced with the decision whether to go with the iomega 100
or the syquest 135.

I read the reviews of both products, and came to the conclusion that the
only downside to the syquest drives was having to move a lever to eject the
cartridge, whereas the upside was higher data transfer speed, and
substantially more storage area on the cartridges.

I went the syquest route, and have been satisfied ever since, with nary a
problem other than an entry port door breaking off one of the 4 drives that
I use.

I am amazed that syquest bit the green weenie while zip drives became the
norm even after the 'click of death' problem became known.
