Just in case anyone is wondering the link is for a new Seagate 23GB SCSI 5400RPM Hard Drive for $24.95.
http://www.surpluscomputers.com/h_strg_423451W.html They also list a Seagate 9.1GB SCSI Hard Drive 7200RPM for$12.95: http://www.softwareandstuff.com/h_65gbhdrive.html The 9GB drive is described as SCA 80 Pin Ultra SCSI Hard Drive with "80-Pin SCA interface to 68-Pin adapter" for $10. The 23GB drive is described as having: 68-In SCSI interface - Interface: Ultra-SCSI Wide ASA2. So the *NEW QUESTION* I have is this: are these drives compatible in terms of number of SCSI pins? I notice these two drives have different amounts of pins and one is described as "Ultra SCSI" and the other is described as "Ultra-SCSI Wide". Please forgive my complete ignorance in this matter - SCSI specifications have always been a bit confusing to me! Any light that could be shed on this would be greatly appreciated! - Scott Thanks to David and Greg for your original replies to this post! -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
