Greetings All, I am new to the ranks of PowerComputing Owners .. I have recently gotten ahold of a number of PTP 225's .. about 4 of them from a pull situation. I will probably be posting some new questions here and there and I hope that you will bear with me while I try to situate my self with these machines. This is my fisrt MacLike experiance .heh .. I have been using linux on x86 machines and yes even Winblows .. but I hope to break that cycle with some LinuxPPC and some MacOS ..
Here is a rundown of what the machines have in them .. perhaps you can give me some ideas of what to do with them. PTP 225 Catalyst Motherboard 604e 512MB Ram NewerTech G3 333Mhz/166 CPU Upgrade 2.2 GB HDD SCSI-2 9.6 GB HDD SCSI-2 DblHgt (My addon) 256MB HDD SCSI-2 (Swap Drive - My addon) 2 x 1GB Jazz Drives - SCSI 100 MB Zip Drive - SCSI 2 x Twin Trubo 128+ video cards (with Mac and SVGA ports) Using Keyboard and Mouse from an old Performa all-in-one mac. If you have some ideas for me I would appreciate it .. I have ordered Yellow Dog Server 2.2 in an ebay auction but I couldn't afford any of the MacOS auctions at the time. Stewart C.
