Stewart, Very sorry to report, but the PTPs are of no value. Perhaps I should take them off your hands? ;-)
You mentioned that were trying to pick up Mac OSes. Does this mean there is no system on the drives? Whether there are or not, be advised that in most instances, you will need third-party hard disk and CD-ROM disk drivers. With some exceptions, the Apple Hard Drive Setup and Apple CD-ROM Driver (or Apple CD-DVD driver) does not recognize the non Apple-branded hardware in Power Computing machines. I believe the issue is that the drives that Power Computing used did not contain the ROM that the Apple drivers seek (it may have been a licensing issue). Instead, Power Computing used FWB Hard Disk Toolkit and FWB CD-ROM Toolkit. If those are presently installed with your system(s), you will want to save them to removable media. If you do not have them, you may need to acquire them (perhaps by buying an old Power Computing OS disk, which includes the FWB installers). There are other alternatives, but I'll spare you the details unless you need help. Congratulations on a nice catch! -- Chuck on 10/5/02 9:22 PM, Stewart Annis at [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Greetings All, > > I am new to the ranks of PowerComputing Owners ..
