Hi Everyone, I'm new to this list and mac in general. I was having some problems with reading CD-R from my CD drive, but when I attached a newer SCSI CDROM into the system, it was able to read the same discs without any problems, are the original CDROM's too old to read CDR? Also I was not to find a way to take the whole cover off in order to switch the CD-ROMs, it seems the cover is soldered to the case? Is there no way for me to open it? I'm looking to purchase a USB card and new video card to replace the existing one, will any USB card do? or is there Mac USB card as opposed to PC USB cards? Lastly, my friend informed me that if I just purchase an ATI PCI video card, then I can just install it in the PowerTower without any need to flash firmware, etc. Is that the case? I'm planning to get an ATI Xpert 128 (for PC) and use it, what would I need to do to get it ready for the PowerTower? Thanks for all your help.
