Hi, I'm new to the list and to the Power Computing machines. I inherited a
PowerTowerPro running MacOS7.6.1. The HD has errors (cant delete/move/rename
file because it can't be found). I tried to rebuild the desktop and it didn't
finish.
Now on startup, I get an error 47 (can't load finder) if extensions are on or
off. With the red power computing CD (system 7.5.5) in the drive, and
shft-opt-com-del held down, the computer will not start from the CD. I don't
know if the FWB CD driver is properly installed.

I would like to use the FWB disktools kit on the CD to reinitialize the HD and
install system 7.5.5. I don't need to save any data from the HD. I think I
need to make a startup floppy but the manual I downloaded from apple doesn't
describe this. I have a G3 to make discs with.

I also have a powercomuting system 7.3.3 CD if that helps.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Dave
