You didn't mentioned if you'd phoned Sonnet. Their telephone support is one of the best I've encountered ... Telephone them and they will walk you through it.
The Firewire portion of your Sonnet Tango Firewire + USB 1.1 PCI card may be faulty. That sort of thing has been known to happen with solid state Electronics. If so Sonnet will replace the card on the pretty quick. If this sounds Pro Sonnet, IT IS. I've an excellent experience with them and the over 12 Sonnet devices purchased in the past 7 years.
