Michael, Did I miss your reply? I didn't see it on the list.
My question was whether you could elaborate on the ways in which the "PTP has some expansion features lacking in the PowerCenter and G4 that offset the slower bus speed." I ask the question because I am interested in experimenting with OS X on a secondary machine; don't want to fall too far behind. I was considering using a PTP if I could pick one up affordably (how DO some people manage to have Power Computing machines given to them at work or school?!). But I see that some people with older machines are unhappy with the performance of Jaguar. Hence, my interest in your comment about PTP expansion features that can overcome relatively slow bus speeds. Please post to the list; I'm sure others will be interested as well. Thanks as always, -- Chuck on 11/17/02 4:58 PM, Michael S.
