Hello everyone! I'm brand new to your list.
It is sort of spooky quiet around here, isn't it? I'm hoping there still are some good souls lurking about out there in powercomputing list land. I may need your help in the days and weeks ahead. I have an ancient PowerBase 180 which works great but is showing its age. I'm trying to keep it alive and useful for the rest of this year in order to use it for a REALbasic project I'm trying to finish up. My goal is to add more memory, an external USB hard drive, and an external USB CD R/RW drive. I've purchase most of the hardware and right now I'm awaiting the arrival of a new memory module that will boost my total physical RAM to 144 Mb, a little more than the minimum requirement (128 Mb) for the new USB card. I don't have any specific questions about any of this just yet. I'll keep you posted. I'm curious as to how many list members there are and why it's so quiet here. I suspect that our old Power Computing beasts are all firmly established on the endangered species list. One very general question haunts my mind at the moment: Is there any hope for us who want to eke a few more months of life out of these dinosaurs?!
