David, Thanks for the warm words of welcome and encouragement!
My PowerBase 180 has worked well going on 7 years now. It is a decent little computer that came with Mac OS 7.6 installed and now runs Mac OS 9.1 like a champ. I very much enjoy using it. As to the apparent "MacOS vs Windows" partisanship that we sometimes see manifested in both camps, I'm pretty much OS neutral. Both operating systems are based on concepts developed originally at Xerox's PARC (Palo Alto Research Center) in the 1970s. Both MacOS and Windows have borrowed ideas from each other (and other OSes) rather liberally over the years, and I think each of them has helped to make the other a better operating system over time. I happily use them both every day. I'm very glad to know I'm not the only one who owns and enjoys using a PPC. Thanks again! Bob C.
