This is my first post to this list and hope there is someone who might
be able to help.

I purchased a Power Wave/130 that was upgraded to a 604e/240 at
Christmas, but the CD-ROM has been problematic. I was unable to get it
to play music CD's under 7.5 but was able to get the computer to boot
into OS 9 from the CD. I have installed and upgraded OX 9 to 9.1. On
Friday, however, I attempted to install Micro$oft Office 2001 and the
disc would not mount. I've used this disc on other Macs, namely a
7100/80, 7300/G3/300, and a beige G3 without a hitch. I didn't have
any other Mac software discs to see it the disc had somehow become the
problem. It did mount an audio CD.
The CD-ROM is an NEC.
Any ideas? I did try to find up-to-date drivers for the NEC, believing
that perhaps with the update the drivers were no longer valid for the
newer OS, but NEC's site only has drivers to 7.5.4 after that you have
to go to another website and purchase some software, some kind of CD
driver kit.

Any help forthcoming would be most appreciated.
