And if you are just basically lazy with space on your computer and 
time on your provider, you can go do someting else while it downloads 
all those posts and then delete them as a batch.

I just poured another cup of coffee and went to another computer to 
work for awhile on another project.

I also looked over the posts and noted the pattern and the occasional 
slightly different post.

My novice explanation is that the auto functioning mailer "demon" 
locked horns with something like one of those auto "out of the 
office" programs and they just kept bouncing off each other like the 
images between two facing mirrors or a ball in a pong game if gets 
into a straight 90 degree bounce. It could go on forever or until the 
size/capacity limits are reached somewhere.
