Assuming you've backed up your important files? No reason it should not install. Personally I would use Apple's disk utility to reformat the drive into "Appleese" and do a fresh install. The installer will give you an alert box if it cannot install. 9.1 should install on your PCP, it's the last version of 9 that will.
