Good advice, but be sure it's 9.1 or earlier version of OS 9. Your PTP 
will not work with the 9.2 versions. As of a few weeks ago OWC had 
original Apple, "full install" versions of 9.1 for $45.00. It's labeled 
9.1 for iMac but it is a full install version. I bought one for a 
friend in Peru and it worked fine on his 9600.
