I am updating a PTP 225 to make it run jaguar - new IDE interface, NEW OWC RAm (512 Mb), G4 card, ATI Radeon video, USB and Firewire etc.
Now I seem to have fallen at the first hurdle - ie installing the RAM and the IDE drives.
I assumed (maybe wrongly) that there was no issue with mounting the USB/Firewire card at the start, and that i had to install the RAM and the IDE interface and drives, format under OS9.1, before upgrading the Processor and video card (at least that is what the manuals led me to believe).
What has happened is that with the IDE, USB/Firewire and RAM I get a black screen with the original video card.
the CUDA reset button seems to do nothing, and though i can hear what sounds likle the drives firing up correctly, I can,t see a damn thing and can,t navigate to disk utility to even format the Hard drive.
Any suggestions anyone?
