When I went from 8.1 to 9.1 on my PTP 200, the cd rom driver was made into an Apple and works fine. The installer asked something like do I want an installation even though something was different and I checked yes. Now I had reformatted/initialized the 2 gig hd into hfs+ and I think that's what made the driver an Apple.

It is slow. since I made no other upgrade except for more ram.

I am spoiled by my (used) iMac G3, 450, with Jaguar and soon to b Panther.

Peace,

Doug
