Apple system profile 139 is a GESTALT number just to identify what type of machine it has. First generation PPC systems all have a bus speed between 40-60Mhz. The processor then uses a multiplier to get the actual speed. Most G3 cards can only go max 8x the bus speed, some of the newer lowpower G3 will go 10x. First thing to try when using an upgrade processor is to remove the cache dimm.

This is a question for those with experience with the PowerForce G3 processor upgrade card...
A fellow sold me this really cheap. The printout of the pdf he sent me makes me think it can go up to 500 mhz, but the document has speeds like 233, 250, 266, 300,. 350, 400,450 and 500. -- -Jon Glass Krakow, Poland <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
