You can go to Other World Computing ( OWC) and run Mac OS X 10.2 and 9.2 without ant problems.

I run 9.0 on this machine. I believe 9.1 works, too.
Correct.9.1 is the highest Mac OS that will install on a stock PTP. Beyond that it's all one hack or another to install later versions of 9 or OS X on one.
