I have owned two epson printers..bought an extended warranty on the first one the second one they gave me. They couldn't give me another one if they paid me to take it. On the printers I had, the jets were part of the printer directly below the ink cartridge feed. When they dry out nothing seems to get the jets clean again. There were some home made remedies I tried plus a few of my own nothing worked. Seems they designed those printers to use a steady stream of ink. If I didn't use mine every day the jets would start to clog. I now own two HP printers where the jets are part of the ink cartridge itself. When one clogs up at least I have the option of throwing it away and getting a new one. Which by the way I have never had to do.
