I think you are correct about the later OS, but with some software,I found a glitch: Sometimes it doesn't work with restart. You have to shut it down completely and Boot Up with the CD installed with the C key depressed ... or four finger salute. My DiskWarrior CD comes to mind and if I remember correctly, it's the same with TechTool Pro 3.

What OS are you using ? I think it has to do with the OS and not the Mac.
The manual for the PTP says to use the cmmd-opt-shift-delete but OS 8
was the OS at the time. I think the later OS's added the "C" option.
But I could be wrong.....
I'm am glad to see there's some action on the PowerComputing list.
On another note about my favorite computer (PTP 250), I recently found some PowerComputing machines that came from Disney and were used by their pre-press dept. at Disneyland in Orlando.
A pretty cool find and they were cheap. I got 2 PTP 225's one complete
and one not complete but works when I tested it with some extra parts I have.
Also included was a PowerWave 604/150 that's not booting for some reason.
That will be another post......

Just out of envy, What did they have in the PCI slots?
RHB
Each PTP had an AsanteFast 10/100 card and one had the ixMicro Twin Turbo card.
The hard drives were all 1GB also. Basically untouched. And they are almost in better condition than my PTP250
I bought new years ago.
