Greetings, all.

I switched out the CD-ROM drive with a known good 600i from a 7200, and the PowerBase still doesn't see the CD-ROM drive. All my other Apple CD-ROM drives are IDE drives, so nothing doing there. :(

In other news, I copied the 8.5DT boot floppy onto the hard disk and am able to boot the thing -- even though that OS 8.5 install complains that it is not running from floppy, it still boots. Unfortunately the 8.5DT is not a "net boot" floppy, so I have no network access.

Any other thoughts? I'd much rather get this thing running and do something useful with it than relegate it to doorstop status. :/
