Jim,

I went ahead and installed the Seagate Barracuda and used FWB HD Toolkit to
format and partition it. It's now sitting there ready for use. I figure I'll
install the OS 9.1 on it.

Ok, I get it. I wasn't sure there for awhile what the Apple CD-Rom program
was for. Is there a similar program for hard drives. When I upgrade to OS 9
will this FWB PE software I used still work?

I tried just copying the files to a floppy and moving to the Mac.
Unfortunately the file names get truncated and when I double-click I get
this message that says it can't open the file because the original software
is not installed. Not sure what is going on. I'll need to learn more about
this PC-to-Mac file compatibility thingy.

I'll keep my eyes open for a ZIF carrier style card. I think I'll go ahead
and upgrade to OS 9.1 with the processor I got for now and see how it goes.

Thanks,
Sean
