There actually was a PCI PowerMac with a G3 daughter card.

It was an early version of what later became the (Beige) G3 Server.

In a 9600 case. 9600 PSU. 6 slot, 5 usable. Case indicia stated "G3
Server".

On-motherboard UW-SCSI, 68 pins; external SCSI, 50 pin SCSI-2 connector.
UW-SCSI hard drive.

On-motherboard EIDE. EIDE CD-ROM and Zip.

Separate video card, as on 9600.

On-motherboard 10 Ethernet.

Separate 10/100 Ethernet card.

300 MHz G3.

I have seen precisely one such machine, and I was able to get the ROM
revision from it, probably now misplaced or discarded. Predates the Beige
G3. Postdates the 9600 Mach 5.

The Power Express ? I vaguely recall something like that name.
