Hi computer smart people, i have a Power Center 150, which is in a coma for two years by now. I have stuff on the hard disk i need to retreive, and i am not much of a computer builder so i can figure out what is wrong with it, buy the parts 20 dollars each, and fix it.
I have a newer computer now, iMac 600Mhz G3. There is any way i can hook up my old dead friend's harddisk to this new one? Or there is another way to retreive those data?
Thanks for any suggestion!

Check out local outfits that repair computers in your home and office. You should be able to find someone who can take the bare hard drive from the Powercenter, hook it up to an external HD case, and transfer the data onto a CD for you for a minimal cost.

That way you will have an archive of the older files, and only have to put what's necessary on the iMac.
