Yes, but I have to clear all the Motorcycle parts off of my work bench in the workshop. Clean every thing well. Get out a PowerTower or PCP out of the attic, put in a battery, hook up all the cables. Install hook up the old SCSI hard drive and transfer. Then go into the house, carry the external USB/Firewire External Hard Drive upstairs to my office to transfer. Whoooeee !

Time consuming and project interrupting. That's why I haven't done it to this date. Procrastination is the word.

I'm intrigued that you can buy a SCSI to USB adaptor. Couldn't I buy an external USB HD case, put the USB to SCSI adaptor on the SCSI drive and put it in the USB case.

Boy, would that be a time saving boon to retrieving some of my data from old SCSI HD's ... though would the jumpers be the same ?

A USB PCI card, or better still USB/Firewire PCI card would allow straight transfer to a an external USB HD from old SCSI HD's temporarily connected to a SCSI only clone.
