Yeah I agree, probably only reason is for the sake of doing it, a challenge. I have three computers (powerwave, pismo and macmini) and I'd rather get the the two older ones fixed up rather then buy a forth computer. There's a good chance I might get another hand me down computer from family members when they upgrade. > > I have a PowerTower Pro with a G3 400MHz xlr8 card > with 704MB of RAM > and it's slooooow running Panther. Getting outdated?...chuckle..Ya don't say... I figure if it's been running for ten yrs, must be a good computer. I really wish apple didn't stop licensing apple clones because it would have meant a greater pool of resources devoted to making apple products. Since power computing seemed to have been ahead at the time, would have been interesting to see where it would have gone. Unfortunatly this is something I do not like about the Apple company is that they went out of their way to be a monopoly. > Ron > > http://krowmagnum.4mg.com/ > > > > > On 11/11/05, Erica Stolte <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > wrote: > > I can't afford to buy it at all right now (Yeah > I'm > > getting ahead of myself) but that withstanding, > I'd > > say $150. > > I've just been shopping around so I get an idea > which > > ones to go for and how much they cost. > > > > Was looking at a sonnet G3 one at welovemacs which > was > > $149 on sale. > > Maybe if the powerlogix one at OWC is my best bet, > > I'll hold off buying the ram there until I can buy > > them bother together. > > > > --- Krow Magnum <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > On 11/11/05, Erica Stolte > <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > > wrote: > > > > Ok, I must confess I'm not sure if I'm going > to > > > add > > > > this to my computer improvement list yet.
