You're making the wrong assumption. In Text-only messages a single click
will do, no command key needed. It has been this way since version 3 at least.

I'm thinking of filing a bug with HTML-messages as no clicks on an URL
seem to work. single, double, command or control doesn't go anywhere.
The control-menus "open link in a new window" also doesn't work, though
"copy link" does, so the URL is detected as such.

This is actually safer than having URL-clicking active in HTML-messages
as the actual URL can be hidden in HTML-messages, making clicking unsafe
in these. I have advocated a preview popup mini-dialog in the past ot
avoid this risk while maintaining the functionality.

I have yet to decide what the cause of URL-clicking not working for me
actually is. Can anyone verify that clicks or command-clicks on URLs in
HTML messages do work in version 5.2.3? Please state your OS version as well.
