I finally resorted to exporting to Unix mailbox and reimporting. This worked and have for a number of problems. Why I have no idea. What remains is a limited number of utgoing messages messages with inconsistent umlaut problems. I have a few "ï¿œ" instead of "å", "ä" and "ö", All these have "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=unknown" in the header. I'm going to try and repair them in source and see.
