Fully understandable. I use Tri-Edre's Tri-Backup <http://www.tri-edre.com/english/ products.html> for my backup needs, by the way. It works fine over the network, but it doesn't support burning yet. But the developers tell me it's coming, so I have some patience. As for open files, Tri-Backup can trigger pre- and post-run scripts. I use that for my Palm Desktop file, for instance, that otherwise would be overlooked. I did have problems with permissions, until I ran it as root (with Pseudo helping out). I must report this to the developers, as it's supposed to do its business with help of the admin password. I'll have a look at SuperDuper too, for my clients.
