You took "I expect it to behave this way" as meaning "it is not a bug."? As some kind of affront or something? I didn't see it at all that way. Like I said, we may just use the software differently and never came across this inconsistency. Po-tay-to, po-tah-to,to-may-to, to-mah-to: bug or inconsistency. I didn't see anyone say you shouldn't report it after some people did confirm it happened to them, too. Yet you came back demanding a response and claiming you could get 100% agreement from some other list somewhere, which to me is bullying: "See, 100% of these people agree, you must be crazy if you don't."
The message you sent seemed over the top and rude, so I responded in kind. If you truly didn't mean it that way, then I do apologize, also, for my hyperbole. But I will stand by my assertion that demanding an explanation from people, and belittling them with statements amounting to "everyone else believes this, so why don't you get on the stick and believe me, too!" are really not needed, no matter how curious you are about someone's thinking. A simple "I don't agree" is just better overall. (And apparently would keep me out of trouble, too. :) ) Yes, "weeks" was hyperbole, too. The thread might have been 4 days, but it felt like weeks. :) -- Michael Lewis Off Balance Productions [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.offbalance.com
