If someone says "yes, it could work differently, but I don't regard this a big problem" then that would have been very different from saying "I expect it to behave this way". That means "this is not bug". Obviously that is frustrating even if it doesn't change my position on the issue. But my frustation is also not useful. I do think the mistake is mine as in I should perhaps have communicated more clearly. I should learn to not to have illogical expectations for this list. I thought a it was clear I was going to do a bug report and needed some input from others. I was not expecting to get responses denying it was a bug, but that is of course every users right.
