I'm afraid that I probably can't help with your main problem. I have an ISDN connection through a Sagem Geoport adpter. A peculiarity of my set- up is that I have failed to persuade any mail programme to disconnect properly. And so have found it to be generally more reliable to start and close the connection manually. BTW I still use OS 9 because (1) it ain't broke and (2) my machine is nearly 10 years old and can't run OS X. -- Charles PM 4.2.1, OS 9.0.4
