I am about to migrate from system 9.2 using Powermail 4.2.1, to a new
computer (I Book, G4) with OS X. I have several questions.

Should I install the OS X version of 4.2 on the new computer first, then
import the database from the OS 9 4.2 version, and _then_ upgrade to PM 5?

When I go to the "Export Assistant" in my current OS9 PM 4.2, if I select
"Your entire mail database", the only option it offers me is "Powermail
Exchange". Can I assume that the result of this will be a database that
can be imported into the OS X version of PM? If so, can it be read by
both PM OS X versions 4.2 _and_ 5?

What about the attachments? In OS X, will they still link to the
messages they were previously attached to?

Last May, I downloaded (from the CTMDEV.com website) a file called
"PowerMail_5.0b26.dmg-link.dmg" which appears to be a free upgrade to PM
5. I never used it because I hadn't yet migrated to OS X. Is it the
current version of PM 5, or is there a later one?

Thanks for any advice you can give me .
