Thanks, that may have been the problem (whatever 'that' is). I restarted
the computer and everything seems to be back to normal. I guess it's not
surprising given all the problems I've had lately with applications
suddenly quitting and the occasional kernel panic. I'm afeared I have a
RAM module problem that needs addressing.
