I was afraid of that, actually. :) I have had errors where the send fails and the connection is there. The failure could be for any number of reasons, but usually is because my SMTP server is unavailable at the moment. I'm fairly certain my experience is the same when that occurs (in v4.2.1), but I'll make a special effort to note all the things that happen next time a send error occurs. I'm intrigued, both because I'm just curious but also because my memory is that I don't experience this and I want to know as I prepare to upgrade to v5 myself. (Maybe I can force a send error of the type needed by changing the smtp server name to an incorrect one in setup...
