Actually, you are not testing the same thing... you are testing NO
connection; the "bug" only occurs when there IS a connection, but
completing the send fails. I consider this a bug as well, since it means
you can have an unsent email sitting around unnoticed in your out box for
a long time.

(Because of this bug, I always monitor sends and immediately mark any
failures to be resent when they occur so my memory of symptoms is vague,
but it seems that maybe the messages are marked "sent", no longer bolded,
but are still "waiting" because the send didn't complete.)

This, of course, is way down on my list of bug fixes (#1 being an option
to turn off double-clicks on URL's!)
