PowerMail 4.2.1

I had to do a hard shut down of my computer due to a freeze. When I
rebooted and tried to open PM again I got the message...

"Can't open the index file"

Clicking on more info told me...

"An indexing error occurred
(index)
Class=QE; what=9; when=2 (index)"

Quit PM and used PowerMail First Aid to perform the first four
maintenance operations but was given the same messages again.

Quit PM again and Repaired Permmissions. Opening PM still still gave me
the same messages.

I have a vague feeling that this problem has been mentioned here before -
could someone remind me what the fix is, please?
