I disagree wholeheartedly. I'd much rather have all PowerMail list
messages in ONE folder and all "project X" oriented messages in *and*
outgoing in ONE folder for the rest of eternity, instead of spreading it
out. This way I can easily find messages and also easily follow an email
conversation. You must have very few messages if you can make do with
only a set of folders for each account. Or what is the point of
separating accounts? I certainly don't get it.

The IN and OUT box are just temporary folders in my opinion and I'm very
glad CTM let me mix accounts in the same or in different folders, thank you.

If I need to find what I sent out I can filter the folder (or search in
all) in a few seconds anyway. I think that's great! I suggest you rethink
your folder strategy and *make use* of folders (and connected filters)
for categorization.

WISH
If I can wish for one improvement here, it would be to be able to filter
also on subfolders from the parent folder.
