as you are trying to handle duplicate messages and other stuff, I think to export to FM and clean up duplicate messages there and then export from FM and import into PM. there used to be a script for FM that found/ deleted duplicate entries in a database. what I don't know though is how this back and forth would affect dates (received/modified/sent) of your messages.
