That's what Jèröme thought, too. But my .old file besides corrupted one was a week old as I performed my routine weekly backup last week. Lesson learned. I must backup before compacting. Boy I wish I have more space! I just repartitioned 6 GB OSX volume to 12 GB and did a flesh install, thinking I will have plenty of space for a while. I was even planning to install dev kit so I can run Project Builder on this TiBook as well. When I realized, I only got 1 GB left again! I have iTune/ iPhoto data on separate volumes.
