There is a possible alternative in the new v2 of SpamSieve: the SpamSive dock icon can notify of Good messages, and show the number of them in its icon. Switching on this option in SpamSieve, and disableing it in PM could help. An advantage of SS is that you can set the icon to bounce only once, instead of indefinitely untill selected as with PM.
