I apologize if this list isn't meant for help....but I need some advice
quickly......

After struggling with OSX Mail for the last few months, I went looking
for another mailer that would integrate with the OSX Address Book and was
pointed to Powermail. So I downloaded it yesterday and started playing
and it was great.... But I have two problems that are forcing me to
consider giving up on it. I hope that they are just configuration issues.....

1. I get A LOT of email with file attachments (PPT, XLS, DOC, etc.). It
appears that Powermail doesn't decode these. I just open them up and get
pages of Binhex. These are not TNEF encoded files (since the MIME
separator has the correct file name "foo.ppt" not winmail.dat and also
because OSX Mail can decode them). This problem is a non-starter for me
since I need to read these files for my job. Is there some configuration
that I am missing?

2. I get a daily Doonesbury strip emailed to me. So this morning was my
first one with Powermail. The first time I clicked on it Powermail
crashed immediately. The second it just spun the colored disk until I
forced quit it.

I could probably live without Doonesbury (grudgingly) but not without the
attachments. Can somebody give me a pointer to a resolution?

Thanks/lss
