I'm a fairly un-knowledgeable computer user who has always had POP mail
accounts. Now, however, I'm moving my accounts to a Linux server that
uses a Plesk control panel. The Plesk documentation, which I'm working
my way through now, states: "Although Plesk supports both POP3 and IMAP
protocols, we recommend that you select IMAP because this leaves your e-
mail on the mail server so that it can later be accessed from other
locations and by other methods, for example, browser based Webmail."

I'd appreciate any recommendations, information, resources, or cautions
from list members. Would it be a good idea for me (and again, I'm a
pretty basic computer-user without advanced knowledge or skills) to move
from POP to IMAP? Any good things to do or avoid doing if I change
systems? Any special features or concerns in using PM with IMAP?

If relevant, I have several email accounts, receive hundreds of emails
each day, and use SpamSieve to filter my mail.

Thanks for your help.
