Just to be accurate: Nowadays Apple Mail saves each _message_ as a single file, MBOX was dropped with the Tiger version. Of course, this also solves both issues. I just wanted to point this out because some people don't like the idea of having thousands of message files, too. Kind regards, Tobias Jung
