The cask owner handling procedures for the casks that we use require
"inspection of the interior of cask for standing water and foreign material".
Our station cask handling procedures are patterned after the cask owner
handling procedures.

If the shoring prevented proper inspection, it would be removed.

Subject: Powernet: Radwaste Cask Shipment Questions

When you receive a cask with pre-staged shoring in place, do you remove the
shoring to perform a visual inspection of the cask interior?

Why or why not?

If you prefer to reply directly to me, my email address is below.

Thanks,

Charles
