Columbia just switch over to Ludlum Mod 3 w/scaler option and 43-5 Alpha Scintillation Probe. So far all comments from technicians have been very positive. These units are slated to replace the aging ASP-1 with AC3-8.
The Ludlum 2000 with 43-10 is still used and can be semi-portable, but is limited to sample counting.
