Seth,

If it was greater than 100 cpm it would be a PCE. For the indication of
facial contamination, a Whole Body Count would be conducted and it would
depend on the results of that if dose was assigned. You can have a
positive WBC and not be externally contaminated and that would not meet
the definition of a PCE.

Subject: Powernet: Quick Question on Intakes and PCEs

Palo Verde requests information on the following:

If a worker alarms an exit area contamination monitor and there is an
indication that they have

experienced an intake e.g., contamination in and/or around the nose and
mouth only, how do

you account for / record the identified condition, e. g., only consider
the potential internal dose

consequences (treat as an intake only), consider this as a potential or
actual PCE, both, or something different?

Thanks in advance, Seth.
